Our Tufted Rug Cover is designed to be thicker, softer, and more comfortable to the touch than our traditional Flatwoven Rug Cover.
The Tufted Cover is a tufted rug cover, which means that loops of yarn are pulled through the rug's backing material and then sheared, creating a piled surface of soft yarn. Our Tufted Rug Cover has a pile height of about one-quarter of an inch, which is designed to create the perfect balance of comfort and versatility. On the other hand, our Flatwoven Rug Cover is flat woven, which means that it is woven on a loom and has no piled surface at all.
Each of these rug constructions is suitable for different use cases. We recommend the Tufted Cover for large living areas like family rooms, bedrooms, and living rooms, while the Flatwoven Rug Cover is ideal for high-traffic areas like hallways, entryways, and kitchens, where the lack of pile aids in durability over extended periods of high foot traffic.
